Julian Jung Lee has a renowned reputation in martial arts and has over ten years experience in the entertainment industry as an actor, executive producer and producer. Lee had his first experience before the camera during production of Sul Sa Do: Korean Ninja Legacy.
Lee recently completed the feature film, Little Bear and the Master [as leading actor] with Film Financial Services as Executive Producer in association with MGM-Disney IDEAS studio. A slate of several other projects are currently in various stages of production.
Lee has produced and starred in numerous action films including Kudzu Christmas, Dragon and the Hawk, Tiger Street, My Samurai, Iron Heart, and Fatal Revenge.
Lee's film have been released in theaters both domestically and internationally, and have been broadcast on major commercial television; Showtime, Showtime Extreme, The Movie Channel, HBO, TNT, and USA Channel etc. Also some of his films have been released internationally in more than 40 countries.
He served as an executive member of the organizing committee for the 14th U.S. National Taekwondo Championships - the 1988 Seoul Olympic Tryouts. Subsequently he was appointed by the United States Taekwondo Union - Group A Member of the United States Olympic Committee as the Director of U.S. National Taekwondo [Olympic] Team for the 9th World Taekwondo Championships at Chamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul, with the IOC president's Cup to be presented in celebration of the 1st Anniversary of the Seoul Olympiad. Of the 72 countries competing at the 9th World Championships, the U.S. team, led by Lee Won, placed 2nd overall. He also served as a special assistant to vice president of International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Lee is now partnered with screenwriter/director Lawrence Riggins, and Soly Haim in packaging and producing a new slate of feature films include Serpent Rising, White Tiger, Little Giant and Tears on the River Kwai (Epic adventure in the style of David Lean set in Burma during World War II). Mr. Riggins has sold numerous projects in the action genre beginning with Iron Heart (directed by Robert Clouse of Enter the Dragon, produced by Julian J. Lee) and Replicant, the $20 million action sci-fi featuring Jean-Claude Van Damme. Riggins is also a visiting professor in the prestigious Graduate Program of UCLA's Department of Motion Pictures and Television.
